I went to see James Yorkston play on Tuesday night. It was pretty good, but not as good as the last time I saw him at the end of last year. Anyway, he was pretty ill which is a shame. The support acts were pretty terrible and James Yorkston blew them away. He had received some new t-shirts from Domino Records that day and he felt bad selling them, so he was giving them away for free. I got one and you can see it above this text.
Seems as if Ben Drury will be updating his website shortly! Looking forward to this.
According to Pitchfork Portishead will be curating this year’s Nightmare Before Christmas ATP. I can’t really think of anything else to say.
Well, the new Beastie Boys album is 100% instrumental. Wow! I was surprised by that, but thinking back to the last album, that was a straight up hip hop album. I’m looking forward to hearing the new album though. Check out the tracklisting below.

It seems that the Force of Nature are going to be releasing their first official mix cd! I can’t wait to hear this. I’ve been enjoying lots of their unofficial mixes recently. They are amazing! PSYCHE! Anyway, it is out on Mule Musiq, who also released the Optimo Walkabout mix cd. Not sure when the Force Of Nature mix cd is out, but its probably quite soon. Actually the image above says the 19th of May! I think Juno might get it in. I am not sure though.

I wouldn’t say I was obsessed with Boards Of Canada, but I do enjoy their music. I like to listen to them alot, though mainly on my iPod when walking about. I once had a wonderful walk in the North of Scotland listening to Geogaddi. Anyway, I recently got hold the Peel Sessions they did way back in 1998. They are cracking. Sometimes I wish they would play live, but what exactly would they do? For now I am happy to listen to them walking about town. Oh, I thought I would add the video for Dayvan Cowboy. Enjoy.
