February 14, 2008It seems that the new Portishead album will be called Three. It’s their third album and there are three members in Portishead. This is old news really. Seems like Kling Klang are supporting them on the mainland Europe dates and Hawk And A Hacksaw are doing the UK dates.
Massive Attack curate Meltdown Festival
February 14, 2008Massive Attack will be curating the meltdown festival on the South Bank in London. Sounds really interesting. They will be choosing live acts, djs, films and speakers for a week long festival. You can read more over at the official site. It’ll be happening on June the 14th and runs until June the 22nd!
Emperor Machine – Slap On

The Emperor Machine returns for a single before working on the next album. This is cracking stuff. Almost a return to form. While I really enjoyed the Vertical Tones And Horizontal Noise EPs, I always thought they weren’t as good as the original stuff. This latest single is great though. Fantastic sleeve as designed by La Boca. Seek out and buy. Its more of the same from The Emperor Machine.
On a side note, you can buy an Emperor Machine t-shirt over at the DC Recordings website. Seems like they have all sold out though. Oh yeah, you can buy the vinyl from all good record shops and also Bleep.

I’m going to see Dizzee Rascal soon. I can’t wait! I can remember the first time I heard this tune back in summer 2003! It was amazing. Gotta love Fix Up Look Sharp!

Props to Peggie for sending me this link. Its the promo video for Some Velvet Morning by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood. This has to be one of the craziest songs I have heard. The video is pretty crazy as well!
