After having this domain name for years and various blogs over the last 7 years I have finally managed to sort out my webspace and move my blog to there. Please change your RSS feeds to www.buildanddestroy.com/blog and thanks for reading the site. I guess I will just leave this as it is from now on.

I’ve managed to get round to getting some new webspace, so over this weekend I am hoping to move this blog over to the webspace. Hopefully things will go smoothly.

This looks good. Sadly it has been pulled from the Edinburgh Film Festival. Hopefully it will get a release in the UK.

This opened up last week. I’ve checked out most of it and there is some good stuff on it. You’ll probably have seen the Radiohead video someone did, so I won’t bother posting it on here. Anyway, I picked up the catalogue for the Visual Communication students who were graduating this year. It’s pretty cool. Anyway, here are some random links to people who have a website.

I managed to get a copy of the KAWS limited edition cover of ID magazine. It wasn’t too hard to find and I am sure you will be able to pick one up quite easily. I got mine from Borders books. Not had a chance to read through the magazine, but I see he has altered some of the adverts which is no bad thing. The American Apparel advert on the back page is pretty rude. I guess sex sells.

I managed to nip down to London on the 14th to catch Massive Attack live at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the Meltdown festival they have been co-ordinating. It was great to see them again. They’ve really got their live show down well. They managed to play quite a few new tracks, which was great. 16 seater which features Horace Andy on vocals was brilliant. They seem to have moved back to more of a Mezzanine sound, which is no bad thing. Anyway, I picked up a programme for the festival and managed to get Daddy G to sign it for me, as I met him at the merchandise stall. Can’t wait to hear the new album.

I managed to buy this from Piccadilly Records this week. It’s the Gaslamp Killer mix cd entitled I Spit On Your Grave. What a pleasant title. Anyway, this is pretty enjoyable. It’s about an hour long and split over three tracks. Lots of beats going on. I heard some Broadcast on there and some Flying Lotus. Pretty sure I recognised some other bits as well. Be quick on this one. The sleeve has been designed by Obey. If you like weird fuzzy guitar, big drums and wonky beats. This one is for you.

Well, I managed to find some snippets of the My Bloody Valentine rehearsal gig online and it sounds amazing. I can’t wait to see them, though I am still waiting on my tickets turning up. Anyway, here is the video for Only Shallow for you to watch. The next couple of weeks are going to be amazing. Oh, here is an interview with Kevin Shields as well.

I’ve just discovered that graf artist and designer Eric Haze has a blog! Wicked. I like the shirts he has done for Stussy. I wish I had known about them when I was in London at the weekend, but ah well. I’ll definitely be picking up one of these shirts when I get paid.
